U.S. Armed Forces Issue Ethicon Silk Suture Kit

For use in general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological procedures. Contraindicated in patients with known sensitivities or allergies to silk. Not recommended where permanent retention of tensile strength is required. Sutures are processed to remove the natural waxes and gums, dyed black, and coated with a special wax mixture.
These sutures meet requirements established by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) for nonabsorbable surgical sutures.
