The Shinwa Black Dragonfly Katana is an exceptional masterpiece from its exquisitely hand-forged blade to its expertly crafted cast metal pommel. It has a keenly sharp, hand-forged 27 3/4” 1045 carbon steel blade with a high-polished finish, extending from a brass habaki. The sword has a dragonfly open-work tsuba, crafted of metal alloy and finished in an antiqued brass color, complementing the handle. The sturdy wooden handle is wrapped in genuine tea-stained rayskin and then wrapped in black cord in the traditional style. The 39” overall katana slides, just like a glove, into a black lacquered wooden scabbard, accented with black cord-wrap.
