In a vast improvement over the original Western Arms gas system, G&P developed the Negative Pressure Bolt carrier group for the G&P/Western Arms M4 series of GBBRs. Whereas the original WA system requires contact with the BB to open the valve plunger, the G&P negative pressure bolt provides a steady output of gas, regardless of the contact between the nozzle and the BB. Like all G&P gas blowback bolts, the G&P negative pressure bolts are machined from light and ruggedly durable aluminum alloy with a wide variety of finishes
