Originally designed for the rigors of combat flying, the Military Surplus Intermediate Cold Weather Flyer's Gloves were built with warmth and dexterity in mind. The gloves are constructed of fire resistant Nomex fibers with sheepskin leather reinforcing the palm and fingers. The inside is lined with Thermolite/Thinsulate allowing the glove to be comfortable worn in temperatures ranging from 15° to 40° F. The knitted glove cuff and extended gauntlet also keep body heat in for those higher altitudes. These gloves were so durable and well designed that they were later issued to ground combat forces in intermediate cold weather climates.
