Webley & Scott Model 1908

Pre-World War I British Self-Loading Pistol — Deactivated

This example is an early British Webley & Scott Model 1908 self-loading pistol, an important artifact from the dawn of automatic pistols in the early 20th century. Produced by Webley & Scott in England, this design represents the company’s efforts to compete in the growing market for magazine-fed pistols before the First World War.

Although not adopted as a standard British military sidearm, variants of Webley self-loading pistols entered service with police and Commonwealth forces and were used as personal weapons by officers and aviators during WW I. The .32-caliber versions were especially popular as compact defensive pistols.

This particular pistol is an export variant chambered for 7.65 mm / .32 ACP (7.65×17 mmSR), as indicated by the slide marking — a cartridge widely used internationally in small autos of the period.

The condition of the item is good used with visible sign of minor natural wear.
