British Armed Forces Issue Gen Ops Vest Desert DPM

Here we have a used desert camouflage assault vest, as worn by most of our frontline troops on operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Lightweight mesh back with adjustable shoulders and sturdy front fastex buckles. These have generous length straps to enable the vest to be worn over body armour etc.

Front zip access to the lining, with internal pistol holster on one side, and small pocket on the other.

Two triple magazine pouches, and six additional pouches to carry bottles, rations, radio etc.

Made from quick drying IRR proofed nylon cordura, these vests are far more comfortable than traditional belt and pouch webbing sets.

These is a plain beige panel on the front of the top left chest pocket, so that the wearer can display his name, blood group etc.

There are fastex clips at the rear to attach the new issue camelbak water carrier.

Genuine issue item, complete with label reading 'WAISTCOAT MANS, GENERAL PURPOSE OPS, DESERT'.

This type of vest with built-in pouches was only on issue for less than one year, before being replaced with the new 'modular' vest with removable pouches..
Therefore this version is guaranteed to become rare in the future!
