Serb Volunteer Guard / Arkan Tigers M-91 Woodland Combat Vest

This is a rare, limited-production M-91 woodland combat vest, issued during the Yugoslav Wars. Designed for elite and specialized units, this particular example was used by the Serb Volunteer Guard (SDG), also known as the Arkan Tigers—a notorious paramilitary unit active during the conflict.

The vest is notable for being manufactured in the distinctive Bosnian Serb "Tiger Stripe" camouflage pattern, a design later associated with both the Panther Guard Brigade and the Arkan Tigers in Bosnia. This pattern was developed to suit the forested and mountainous terrain of the region.

Features:

  • Four front magazine pouches designed to hold standard rifle magazines.

  • Two upper-right grenade pouches for fragmentation or smoke grenades.

  • Two front utility pouches suitable for tools, medical kits, or other gear.

  • Two side utility pouches for additional equipment storage.

  • Two small side pouches that could be used for field dressing kits, multitools, or similar items.

This vest reflects the tactical needs of paramilitary forces operating in irregular warfare settings, offering both functionality and camouflage in the field. Its association with the Arkan Tigers and its unique camouflage make it a valuable piece for collectors and historians studying the Yugoslav conflicts.
