Santa Fe Stoneworks Damascus Custom #2 - Mammoth Bone

Introducing our second design by Miles and Anna Wirtel with Wave Damascus steel blade and Titanium body. This knife is 4” closed with a 3” blade and pocket clip. Natural Fossilized Woolly Mammoth Tusk double sided inlay with Mother of Pearl Swashes.

Damascus Steel is characterized by it's strength, edge holding ability, and it's dramatic appearance. 

Fossilized Woolly Mammoth Bone

The material in these knives is fossilized Woolly Mammoth Bone, from Siberia, and over 10-15,000 years old. Woolly Mammoth Bones were used as construction material for dwellings by both Neanderthals and modern Humans during the ice age. Bones were made into various tools, furniture and musical instruments. Large Bones, such as shoulder bones, were also used to cover dead human bodies when buried.
