The Tactical Latch is an extended charging handle latch which was developed to allow rapid operation of the charging handle with the right or left hand with gloves or without, in wet, mud, snow or ice.
The latch is perfect for flat top AR-15/M16 series AEG which utilize a scope which limits access to the charging handle. It works especially well for "flat-top" rifles equipped with low profile scopes and optics. The latch is made from steel. The Tactical latch is currently in service with the United States Marine Force Recon, US Navy Seals, US Army Rangers and Special Forces as well as the DEA, FBI, Secret Service and dozens of State and local law enforcement agencies. Charging handle not included. Latch only. CAUTION - don't lose the spring or pin when you replace the existing latch on your handle.
