The Simba is impressive: it's a double edged bush knife that's heavier than the Panga, designed to accomplish everything needed to survive the dangers of life in bush country. It's a great all around outdoors knife for clearing, firewood, building shelter, or utility cutting, in fact performing better than a big heavy camp knife. Both edges can be used at the same time for better cutting, or one edge can be used while holding the other one in reserve for later. The Simba is designed to be balance forward with enough weight to chop or slash. The blade has enough curve to cut brush for shelter or firewood.
The blade is made of 440 stainless steel that has been triple cryogenically quenched to -300 degrees Fahrenheit and triple tempered giving it the ability to take a much keener edge and hold that edge longer. This process refines the structure of the steel, giving it a finer grain by filling micro voids thereby creating a denser molecular structure in the crystalline matrix of the material. The result is the blade has better abrasive wear resistance, tensile strength, toughness, stability, and edge holding properties. And of course it's Blackjack Sharp : (unbelievably sharp) making it easier to maintain the edge.
The handle is Kraton for good all weather grip. Three hex head cap screws fasten the handle to the full width tang, allowing the handle to be taken apart for cleaning and also be tightened periodically if needed. Comes with a black leather sheath.
The Simba is a great all around outdoors knife that does everything you need it to do. When held in the hand you can feel the weight and cutting power, giving you the confidence you want in any situation.
