Excellent condition, we found a small lot of these extremely rare vintage "P"
 coats and quickly snapped them up, knowing that this was indeed a rare and most welcome find.
These were made by various manufacturers throughout the years, the quality is top notch, made to U.S. government specifications.

    Well, I am revising yesterday's review of this garment. I had written that all the buttons were missing, and although they were not attached, I found them in a plastic packet in one of the pockets. Still have to sew them on, but that is manageable. Bottom line is that the coat is first quality and pristine for "new old stock." A tremendous value. I will continue to give Hero my highest recommendation. Rene

    My peacoat arrived today, but all the buttons were missing. I will have to order a set from an outside vendor and sew them on myself. It seems that a quick pre-shipping inspection would have prevented this. The coat is of good quality, but it is useless without buttons. Rene

    The pea coat I received appears to have been made for the US Navy in 1953. This was the heyday of the six-button pea coat, midnight blue and made to last. It's in outstanding condition with only minor signs of alterations in the internal lining. Highly recommend!
