    This is so much better than the knock-offs! It might be my imagination, but it feels a lot lighter than similar products. Coupled with the fact I get MUCH better piles of magnesium flakes, makes me wonder what kind of junk is in the other ones. I used the back of a stainless leatherman blade to both scrape the magnesium, as well as strike the ferrocerium. Worked beautifully, on the first strike. Very impressed! If you intend to carry one of these for real, only the Doan Machinery one is worth considering!
