The Comp-Tac Paddle Holster is an all-Kydex outside the waistband holster that may be worn for competition, general use or concealed carry. The paddle is designed to be worn at 3:00 for the right handed shooter.
The Kydex body provides a rigid material that is fit to each firearm and maintains its shape even with the pistol un-holstered. The smooth low friction surface allows for a fast draw and easy one-handed re-holstering of the firearm. The all-Kydex body will not bend or stretch over time and is impervious to sweat and solvents.
The Paddle attachment is the fastest holster attachment system available. The paddle allows you to slide the holster on while your belt is already threaded through the loops. The paddle backing curves over the belt and pants so the paddle portion sits inside your waistband. There are two forward curving tabs that grab on to the bottom of your belt to help stabilize the holster, keeping the holster in position during the draw. The paddle may be worn with any pants regardless of where your pant loops are. Quick to put on or take off, the paddle will fit belts up to 1.75 in width.
The Comp-Tac Paddle holster is IDPA, USPSA, and IPSC legal.
The Slide version allows the user to use one holster for similar guns of different lengths (such as Glock 9mm, .40, and .357). The Slide is typically slightly longer than the shortest gun of the series, and left open so that longer guns can slide through the end of the holster.
Slide versions of outside the waistband holsters are recommended for range work only. While carrying a longer firearm in a slide holster the end is left exposed and the user must be careful not to bump the exposed muzzle up against anything that might dislodge the firearm, i.e. sitting down in an arm chair.
