Austrian OD M1 Steel Helmet With Reproduction Liner

An Austrian Bundesheer variation of the iconic US M1 helmet, which retained a similar silhouette and removable, adjustable plastic liner. Helmets of this design were used from WWII through to the late 1980’s by many NATO countries. The helmet retains the typical M1 shape with a steel construction, painted in olive drab, and it features an Austrian-style liner that is a tongued leather pad with two, wide canvas suspension straps underneath.
